I walked into a local bookstore tonight and happened to notice a new book by Banana Yoshimoto titled "Asleep." How cool! I read her first novel, "Kitchen," a few years ago and couldn't stop thinking about it for a long time. So dreamy and smooth; I love the way she writes. I've also read her compilation of short stories in "Lizard," but if you haven't ever heard of her before, go out and get a copy of "Kitchen." It will change your life.
