Being from the Midwest, I was always surrounded by country music and tried my best to distance myself from it as much as possible. However, I did go through a short phase of country music and came out of with one of my favorite musicians of all time: K.T. Oslin. If you've never heard of her or her music, you are really missing out on one of the best artists ever. Especially if you are a woman or gay, her music has strong diva-type lyrics of women who aren't sure about everything, but sure do try a whole hell of a lot.
