i understand what you're saying from hawaii, but the reality is that the win in virginia took out a out and out racist and homophobic senator who was living in the 1800's. and, it was a strong rebuke again bush. and, webb will vote for a democratic majority which will not put forward anti-choice and anti-gay votes regularly whenever they want to shore up their right-wing bases. so it's a major win even if he isn't perfect. none of them are perfect, but it's definitely a major victory.
