i made it to bangkok! the flights were terrific. i swear i am always going to travel on japanese airlines from now on. they are so nice, and welcoming, and more room, and warm towels, and lots of food, and inseat tvs/movies/games, and i love them! so great! and they're so efficient! we got in the plane, and they took off, no waiting or problems. they just do the job and do it well. i love ANA!

also, another thing about japan. my stop was in narita/tokyo airport and i waited there for my transfer for about three hours. and a great deal of that time was spent in the bathroom. not because i was sick. no. but because the japanese have an amazing toilet system. why are they ahead of us by light years on the use of a toilet? why can we not have toilets like this in the united states. there's these washings and dryings and odor controllers and warm seats and everything, all in the toilet, the public toilet. i was in love. i kept going back and i didn't even have to go! but when in rome, or in toilet heaven, for a short 3 hour window, use it to the fullest, and i did.
