what can i say about cambodia? about siam reap? about the temples of angkor?

they are the most amazing things i have ever seen or been honored to witness. i still cannot believe i am here and partaking in this extreme pleasure. but simply standing here at the temples is not enough. pictures are not enough. it's so breathtaking. so breath-taking. i kept saying to myself 'wow' throughout. and i actually ran out of pictures. well, not completely. but my phone was so busy taking photos that my battery nearly died from just the morning's outing to two temples: angkor wat and angkor thom. just two temples and only a few hours and i had nearly lost my battery. 578 photos. and i simply could not stop. i cannot imagine my mother being here and experiencing the same. she would never finish with the photos. everywhere one looks are photographic images from near, upclose bas-reliefs, writings, figures, stories in the pictures, and then from afar, amazing temples and stones and faces in the stones and so much. i cannot explain. it's the most amazing thing to be here in the jungle and encounter such wondrous ancient temples hidden among the trees. here are a few of the photos i will post now but i cannot begin to capture enough on here. i will have to show more soon, and undoubtedly in person with more stories. wow. wow. wow!

p.s. ok, sadly i am having a great deal of difficulty uploading these photos right now. so the ones i have up now will have to suffice until it's working better later.
